Incontro annuale dei 6 Serra Club di Toronto con i giovani cattolici.
Toronto Serra’s 29th annual Ordinandi Dinner and Ordinandi Youth Event was held on March 6th 2019 and it was yet another success for the 6 Serra Clubs in the Archdiocese of Toronto. We had 746 students attend this year from about 70 Catholic high schools in our Archdiocese. These students were hand-selected by their Chaplain or Religion Teacher to attend the 8th annual Ordinandi Youth Event in the interactive and high-energy morning program on the theme of Vocations, ending with vocation journey messages from a consecrated nun and an Ordinandi and followed by a talk by Cardinal Collins after which he stayed with them for lunch and photo opps everywhere!
The Dinner event was attended by 1,641 Catholics from our Serra Clubs, friends of Serrans, Parishes, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Women’s League plus 219 university age men and women from our university Catholic Chaplaincy Teams, Office of Catholic Youth, Newman Center, Serra House (philosophy house prior to entrance into St. Augustine’s Seminary) and the Office for Vocations for the Archdiocese of Toronto. For further details, visit www.serracanada.com to see last year’s full report and pictures.
This has proved to be a wonderful vocations event in our Archdiocese, and my wish is that it be replicated everywhere in the Serra world. I will be talking about this Serra activity in Mexico City. I thought that I would email to you our program booklet and also a Catholic Register article about this year’s event. The booklet is attached and here is the link to the Catholic Register article:
